Alison Play Therapy

Healing through play

Using the power of Play to enable children to express, explore and make sense of those difficult muddled feelings and experiences to enable them to reach their full potential

About play therapy image
Alison Play Therapy offers a  therapeutic service for children.

Alison Tureck is a registered member of the British Association of Play Therapy (BAPT) and DBS checked.

At times in a child’s life, they may experience problems or difficulties, and feelings or behaviours which can cause disruption to their lives, the lives of those around them and affect them reaching their full potential.

Conventional talking therapies may be inappropriate for children and young people who struggle to put their feelings, thoughts and experiences into words. Play Therapy is a form of child therapy that allows a child to use toys and creative materials to safely play out and express, explore and make sense of their thoughts, feelings and painful life experiences and therefore cope better with the future.

Alison currently offers a mobile service to provide therapy to children at schools, other organisations and occasionally in their home.

Alison will accept Play Therapy referrals from parents/carers, schools, social workers, G.P’s, clinical psychologists, fostering and adoption, charities and other agencies.

Alison Play Therapy covers the areas of Hertfordshire, North London including Radlett, Mill Hill, Edgware, Barnet, Bushey, Watford, Potters Bar, Elstree, Stevenage, St Albans and the surrounding areas.
